I was born in Sant'Angelo Lodigiano, Italy, a quaint town located about 30 km from Milan. As I grew up in Italy, I became interested in Italy's classic sport, futbol (soccer). To tell you the truth, I never became that good at soccer, but I would still play with my friends. Some days, I would go to a little park in the center of town and play basketball. I started out, like most people, with no skill. But as I played, my skill progressed, and I became a better ball player. People would want to play with me, older people, but I would tell them I'm just a kid. No one believed me because I was so tall. My friends looked up to me, since I looked like a skyscraper. I was big. What was the best thing to do for a big person? Answer - play basketball. I would go home, turn on my television, and watch games. Learn moves, learn how to shoot, learn how to pass, and learn the game of basketball. I watched a very famous team, the New York Knicks. My parents told me that I could become a Knicks basketball player, but only if I tried hard enough. This statement inspired me to go out and pursue my dream to play ball in the USA. When I was about 13 years old, my family and I moved to the USA, in New Jersey. I would soon learn that it is much harder to play here, in the United States, mainly because the people are bigger and stronger. So what did I have to do? Answer - get bigger and stronger. I did. Now I am playing for The Frisch School, and my team is undefeated. Hopefully, my team can make it to the Championships and win. Next stop, the Knicks.
